Her practice includes counseling and litigation in a wide range of labor and employment matters including wrongful termination and constructive discharge, reductions in force and reorganizations, discrimination, reasonable accommodation, disciplinary processes, retaliation, sexual harassment, wage and hour laws, arbitration disputes, amongst others. She represents employers in claims before the Puerto Rico state and federal courts and state and federal forums such as the Puerto Rico Department of Labor, the Anti-Discrimination Unit, American Arbitration Association and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. She has also provided seminars to employers on a variety of employment law matters. During law school, Ms. Echenique-Arana practiced in Civil Litigation representing students with special education needs, was an Academic Senator and active speaker in searching students’ rights and needs and was awarded the Microjuris Research Award. She represented Puerto Rico in the International Youth Leadership Conference in Prague, Czech Republic and in the International Client Counseling Competition in Las Vegas, Nevada.
